About The Position

This role provides direct support to the Process/Project Lead and Lead Process Technician. The Plastics Processor is responsible for troubleshooting and adjusting molding parameters to ensure quality and maximize product output. They will perform problem-solving to develop corrective actions for customer issues and initiate continuous improvement. This position requires the ability to respond to problems with technical or mechanical solutions, read specifications to determine setup and temperature/time settings, regulate molding temperature, volume, pressure, and time, record necessary data, and assist with mold setup.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work modified hours on short notice.
• Ability to communicate across departments professionally.
• At least 3 years in the injection molding industry.
• Ability to lift 50lbs, stand, bend and sit for extended periods.
• Ability to communicate with all levels of organization.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
• Able to use measuring tools to determine that Quality Assurance specifications are met.

Nice To Haves

• Training in the basics of scientific molding, or 3 years staff/floor support in injection molding.
