Plastics Mold Technician
About The Position
This position involves training in all job functions related to packers, floor persons, and Mold Technician responsibilities. The essential functions include assisting the Supervisor with machine startups and operating machines independently. The role requires troubleshooting problems to inform the supervisor or maintenance about their nature and location. Responsibilities also include cleaning and polishing molds and core rods. In the supervisor's absence, the individual is expected to assume their duties without question. A thorough understanding of all Quality Control (QC) requirements for bottles and the ability to perform all necessary tests are crucial. Additional functions involve training others on proper box printing, bottle packaging, and palletizing procedures.
Requirements
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to one hundred pounds.
- Ability to pull preforms off core rods using a brass tool in a timely manner.
- Must pass a ninety-day trial period.
- Must complete all required classes for Alphapointe employees.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Supervisor in machine startups.
- Run machines without assistance.
- Troubleshoot problems and report them to the supervisor or maintenance.
- Clean and polish molds and core rods.
- Assume supervisor's job duties in their absence.
- Understand and perform all QC requirements and tests on bottles.
- Train others on box printing, bottle packaging, and palletizing.
