About The Position

This role involves operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to manage raw materials and finished goods within a manufacturing facility. The position requires adherence to safety protocols, timely supply of production lines, and careful handling of materials to maintain quality. The operator will also be responsible for routine equipment inspections, proper material storage, and assisting production lines as needed. Collaboration with team members and supervisors is essential to achieve operational goals.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1+ years of proven forklift operating experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment (required)
  • Valid forklift license/certification (Counterbalance required; Reach/Walkie considered an asset)
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing tasks and priorities
  • Reliable with strong attendance and work ethic

Nice To Haves

  • Experience operating heavy material handling equipment in a fast-paced production setting is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment in accordance with established safety and operational guidelines
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries
  • Load, unload, and transport finished goods and raw materials throughout the facility
  • Supply production lines with required raw materials in a timely manner
  • Remove finished product from production lines and place in designated storage areas
  • Perform routine inspections on forklifts and equipment; report defects or maintenance needs promptly
  • Handle materials carefully to prevent product damage and maintain quality standards
  • Ensure proper stacking, storage, and organization of materials and finished goods
  • Conduct weekly line sanitation as scheduled
  • Assist production lines as needed throughout the shift
  • Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet operational goals
