Operates a variety of different types of equipment and uses numerous hand tools to produce plastics parts for production while meeting scheduling timelines. Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • At least 6 months of experience in rotational molding
  • Be proficient with operating equipment including scissor-lift platforms, control panels, weight scales, and stand-up forklift.
  • Has used hand routers, hand drills, band saw, hand grinder, air ratchets, impact wrench, and other hand tools to produce parts.
  • Possesses basic computer skills.
  • Retains information well.
  • Able to work in fast paced environment.
  • Possesses good hand-eye coordination.
  • Able to apply basic mathematical concepts to work being done.
  • Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words in English and recognized similarities and difference between words and between series of number.
  • Ability to print and speak simple sentences
  • Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s.
  • Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Responsibilities

  • Must demonstrate proficiency in all Plastic Machine Operator I job requirements.
  • Produces parts according to set specifications.
  • Able to start up and shut down machines, make program changes.
  • Be proficient at balancing and changing out molds on each arm.
  • Must be able to operate plastic machines manually.
  • Must be proficient at de-flashing and inspecting part coming off rotomold machine.
