About The Position

National Wound Physician Group is hiring a Plastic Surgeon to provide bedside wound management in post-acute care settings, including skilled nursing facilities and long-term acute care hospitals. Physicians conduct weekly wound rounds at each facility, typically visiting 2–3 facilities and treating approximately 20–30 patients per day within a 40–60-mile radius of the practice location. Clinical documentation is completed in real time at the point of care using a proprietary wound-specific EMR. The role offers full-time and part-time schedules. Full-time physicians work 4–5 weekdays per week, generally Monday through Friday, with a stated schedule of 7 a.m.–4 p.m.; part-time physicians must commit to at least 3 weekdays per week. There are no night, call, or weekend clinical responsibilities. Paid onboarding training and a six-month wound care fellowship are provided. The position is W-2 employment; work visa sponsorship is not available. The posting lists annual compensation of $200,000–$350,000 and says W-2 physicians earn an average of $300,000 per year for a 30-hour work week, plus benefits.

Requirements

Hold a full, active, unrestricted MD or DO medical license in the state where the physician wishes to practice.
Commit to at least 3 weekdays per week, Monday through Friday.
