About The Position

Under the supervision of the Production Area Lead, the Plastic Injector position is accountable for operating a plastic injection machine to produce a variety of parts. This role is responsible for the quality of the pieces produced, meeting department production needs, and ensuring the correct parameters (cycle, temperature, pressure, weigh feeder) are set in the machines. The Plastic Injector must visually inspect parts for defects and notify their supervisor or Manufacturing Manager if any difficulties or problems arise with the machine setup or operation.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) from an accredited institution (Required)
• U.S. person status (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee) due to ITAR regulations

Nice To Haves

• Ability to lift 40 pounds
• Minimum of 1-year experience operating plastic injection machine
• General Manufacturing Experience
• Ability to effectively work AND communicate as part of a cell team

Responsibilities

• Operating a plastic injection machine to produce a variety of parts
• Responsible for quality of the pieces you shoot
• Meeting department production needs
• Showing the supervisor first piece you shoot on each setup
• Responsible for parameters (cycle, temperature, pressure, weigh feeder) set in these machines
• Notify Leader or Manufacturing Mgr. if set up or operation of machine is mechanically difficult or other problems exist
• Visually inspect parts for various defects
