Requirements

  • Licensed M.D. or D.O.
  • Board eligible BC/BE Plastic Surgery training from an accredited program.
  • High level of interpersonal skills, written and verbal, necessary to effectively communicate, establish, and maintain productive working relationships with people inside and outside the Department and/or Practice.
  • Excellent analytical ability necessary to independently identify and resolve extremely complex and unusual problems or discrepancies.
  • Clinical knowledge to meet the medical requirements relating to various procedures.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding patients, personnel and/or financial data.
  • Excellent organizational skills to work independently, prioritize, handle multiple tasks, and manage time.
  • Patient management skills necessary to provide quality care.
  • Compliance with Department Health and Safety policies and procedures.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional training in hand surgery and/or microsurgery is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a full spectrum of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
  • Provide quality treatment to all patients in a professional manner.
  • Participate in the teaching/training program(s).
  • Communicate with administrators and physicians to facilitate practice operations.
  • Participate in team effort to guarantee efficient services to patients.
  • Conforms to the ethical code of conduct of his/her professional organization, to the Wayne Health Corporate Compliance Program and all standards of the Code of Conduct, Code of Ethics, and to clinic policies and procedures.
  • Maintains a current professional license, professional liability insurance at limits required by Wayne Health Credentialing as applicable.
  • Attend meetings and training as requested including participation in mandatory annual Wayne Health training in such areas as: recipient rights, confidentiality, corporate compliance, prevention of violence and management of unsafe behaviors, and cultural competence.
  • Participates in professional development activities and keeps current with healthcare trends and practices.
  • Obeys confidentiality as required by all federal, state, regulatory and Wayne Health policies.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.
