As a Plasma Table Operator at MYER, you will operate state-of-the-art plasma cutting systems, transforming raw steel into perfectly crafted components. This role is an opportunity to be part of creating solutions that power industries nationwide.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year in steel processing.
  • Experience with heating and cutting, especially OFC (oxy-fuel).
  • Skilled with tape measures, calipers, micrometers, and other dimensional tools.
  • Ability to handle multiple processing operations.
  • Self-motivated and reliable.
  • Can interpret drawings and specifications.
  • Basic mathematical knowledge for calculations.
  • Comfortable in demanding work environments.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and commitment to safe practices.
  • Clear sight for reading materials and measurements, good hearing for safety alerts.
  • Lift/carry up to 50lbs.
  • Work at heights up to 15 feet.
  • Stand for extended periods.
  • Walk through production areas.
  • Work in confined spaces when needed.
  • Must have current work authorization.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Vocational training or previous employer training in cutting applications preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operate cutting-edge plasma table systems to meet exacting standards.
  • Operate cranes to load, unload, and position materials with skill and safety.
  • Dimensionally verify materials and maintain detailed records.
  • Control cutting operations and adjust parameters for optimal results.
  • Select the right consumables for different material grades and thicknesses.
  • Perform daily maintenance to keep equipment running at peak performance.
  • Hand grind materials when needed to meet specifications.
  • Continuously inspect work to exceed quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Ensure consistent attendance and reliability.
