This role is responsible for evaluating donor suitability for automated pheresis procedures, administering and supervising approved immunizations, and providing limited emergency medical care. The technician promotes positive customer relations, conducts confidential interviews, and responds to medically related questions. They perform medical history reviews, health assessments, and analyze screening results to determine donor suitability. Additionally, they counsel donors on reactive test results, explain informed consent, and manage medical emergencies. The role involves reviewing test results for continued donor suitability, managing employee immunization programs, and understanding hyper immune programs. Accurate recording of donor data, maintaining a clean work environment, and adhering to safety procedures are also key responsibilities. Bilingual skills may be required, and cross-training in other areas may be necessary.
