Position Summary Learn all the on boarding skills to successfully transition into an operational role when the opportunity becomes available. Learn the key components of the mill and the operational process flow. Clean the main process building by shoveling, sweeping, vacuuming, and disposing of debris. Provide outside yard cleanup and support. Seeks opportunities to decrease waste and improve sustainability throughout the mill.

Requirements

  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
  • Proficiency in operating and maintaining equipment.
  • Understand and apply mechanical concepts
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues.
  • Understanding and adherence to industry-specific safety guidelines.
  • Flexibility to work in various conditions and handle different tasks.
  • Clear and effective communication skills for coordinating with team members and reporting issues.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others to achieve common goals.

Nice To Haves

  • 3 years in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

  • Rotate and learn the operational activities of the entire process
  • Cleans main process building.
  • Maintains Geo energy area by cleaning equipment and removing sludge. Supports down day by cleaning the WESP units and associated equipment.
  • Learn to complete operational PM’s which will include safety inspections, fire protection inspections, and environmental inspections. Complete site safety and housekeeping audits.
  • Learn to complete facility fire inspections and maintain housekeeping of the Fire Building and Confined Space Building.
  • Maintains grounds.
  • Develop the skills to properly inspect and operate manlifts, forklifts, loaders, sweepers, and other mobile equipment.
  • Notifies Shift Supervisor and/or Maintenance Department of any equipment problems.
  • Performs other duties as may be assigned.
