About The Position

The Plant Utility Technician works indoors and outdoors and is trained in all areas of the plant. People in this position gain exposure and knowledge across multiple functions of the crush process with daily tasks changing depending on the business need. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Effectively communicate with others by listening, speaking, and writing.
  • Basic math skills
  • Willingness and ability to learn all aspects of the job
  • Premium paid for valid CDL

Responsibilities

  • Operate meal and oil loadout for trucks and rail.
  • Provide a positive customer experience when interacting with internal and external customers.
  • Work cooperatively with other departments and coworkers to provide breaks and assist with projects as needed.
  • Communicate with Operations Manager and maintenance personnel verbally and/or through work orders, to address issues, or needed supplies.
  • Participate and contribute in problem solving.
  • During harvest be available for extended hours as needed to unload grains at off-site locations.
  • Operate scale and relieve scale operator as needed. This will require grading of inbound soybeans.
  • Operate power truck equipment such as payloader, skidsteer and farm augers.
  • Accurately complete all documentation required for tracking, communicating and compliance with SDSP programs.
  • Perform duties outside normal responsibilities as needed to support the team and overall organizational goals.
  • Be a good steward of company resources.
  • Take responsibility for maintaining, cleaning and providing a safe working environment.
  • Perform the necessary safety checks to operate and maintain equipment.
  • Maintain Master Sanitation Schedule to SDSP sanitation standards.
