About The Position

This position is responsible for performing high building systems and equipment operation and maintenance for all facility and utility related equipment. This includes equipment that supplies critical and emergency utilities for manufacturing areas and all the local support functions at the Drug Delivery and Penicillin buildings. This position ensures equipment is well maintained by performing on time completion of Preventive and Predictive Maintenance, monitoring of building systems and alarms to respond and address conditions before they result in an impact to plant operations. Requirements

  • A candidate must not be allergic to Penicillin and Cephalosporin or their related products and minerals.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required
  • 3 or more years maintenance experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of multiple maintenance disciplines such as mechanical systems, electrical systems, HVAC, plumbing, and general building maintenance.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot equipment problems systematically and perform hands-on repairs.
  • Ability to safely operate common hand tools, power tools, meters, and maintenance equipment.
  • Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, drawings, and equipment documentation.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively within a maintenance team.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates degree in a technical discipline or technical degree, trade-school training, apprenticeship.
  • Light machining skills not required but a plus.
  • Experience within an FDA regulated manufacturing, pharmaceutical, medical-device, or healthcare environment.
  • Experience working with CMMS/work-order systems.
  • Formal HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, or other applicable trade training/certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Work independently to complete maintenance activities while continuously building your technical knowledge and skills through training and hands-on experience.
  • Take a proactive approach to safety, lead by example, and follow plant and corporate procedures related to critical facility systems, equipment, GMP, and Good Documentation Practices (GDP) to support reliable manufacturing operations.
  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on facility equipment and utility systems.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair systems including: RTUs (Rooftop Units), AHUs (Air Handling Units), Split systems, Exhaust fans and ventilation systems.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other building support systems from a basic to advanced level.
  • Perform general facility repairs involving plumbing, electrical, mechanical, carpentry, hardware, doors, walls, ceilings, lighting, and related infrastructure as appropriate.
  • Replace components such as filters, belts, motors, compressors, sensors, and contactors.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals, drawings, schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation to support troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Maintain high pressure steam and hot water boilers, controls, and associated equipment; maintain boiler and cooling tower chemical treatment program for Plant Utilities equipment.
