About The Position

Our 24/7 Belleville, Ontario manufacturing site is hiring several Plant Technicians across multiple operating departments. This career path starts you off as a Production Line Operator, and it can progress into several different roles over time, such as: Team Leader, Process Leader, Preventive Maintenance Leader, LVQ Technician, QA, and other support roles. At Belleville, we manufacture most of P&G's Always pads, Liners, and Always Discreet adult incontinence products for global distribution within the overall Feminine Care business unit. Meaningful work on Day 1 We do various types of work, including running high-speed converting and packing equipment, controlling the process from a computer terminal, and performing preventive maintenance on equipment. Our technicians contribute to site maintenance, equipment ownership, and overall operations capability. Successful employees will break down technical barriers, obtain technical ownership supporting manufacturing projects, and ultimately bring new production capacity to our site. P&G'ers are curious, unafraid to challenge the status quo, and ultimately a team player. Technicians are required to learn how to operate, adjust, changeover, and maintain high-speed equipment on a rotating shift schedule.

Requirements

  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to solve complex problems
  • Analyze data using information technology systems
  • Able to learn manufacturing processes, including operating, maintaining, and cleaning automated line equipment
  • Maintain and improve accurate records and data
  • Display strong technical, interpersonal, and analytical skills
  • Operating essential material handling equipment at the site, e.g., clamp truck, forklift, hand trucks, etc.
  • Work well individually and as part of a self-directed work team, handling multiple priorities in an ever-changing environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and effective written and verbal communication skills are essential
  • Willingness to be trained on forklifts, as operating a forklift (once trained) is required for this position
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Have a minimum of a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent education
  • Must hold a valid G2 or higher Ontario Driver’s License
  • Wear required safety personal protective equipment (eye protection, ear protection, safety shoes)
  • Use basic hand and power tools
  • Lift 40 pounds by bending and stooping; climb, stand, and move around on stairs, ladders, and platforms; twist, turn, and bend
  • Stand on concrete floors for an extended period
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and workloads
  • Willingness to wear appropriate safety equipment, such as safety shoes, hearing protection, and eye protection, which are provided by the company
  • Ability to work individually or in a team
