About The Position

As a PST - Making/Process Technician, you will be responsible for overseeing the manufacturing process within our facility. Your role will involve ensuring that all procedures are followed accurately, maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality at all times. Supports and assists in executing strategies in team / organization. Growth expectations aligned with team and individual performance in a stable external business environment. Participates in the development and implementation of new ideas, techniques, procedures, services, or products under guidance. Focus on specific tasks or segments within a brand, channel, line, category or team / organization with clearly defined and narrow objectives. Develops basic knowledge and skills necessary for current job requirements.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in a manufacturing or production role
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures within a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Eagerness to learn and develop new skills within the role
  • 18 years of age or older
  • A minimum of a high school diploma, GED or equivalent education
  • Strong technical, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Basic Microsoft computer skills

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the manufacturing process
  • Ensuring all procedures are followed accurately
  • Maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality
  • Supporting and assisting in executing strategies in team / organization
  • Participating in the development and implementation of new ideas, techniques, procedures, services, or products under guidance
  • Rotating shifts on a 5-day or 7-day schedule
  • Lifting, lowering and carrying objects up to 50 lbs
  • Pushing and pulling objects up to 80 lbs
  • Climbing a vertical tank ladder and tank stairs
  • Climbing up and down stairs
  • Standing, sitting, and/or walking for long periods of time
  • Twisting, bending at the knees, stooping, kneeling, squatting, crawling, and reaching for purposes of operating and maintaining equipment
  • Standing on concrete, gravel, asphalt (uneven surfaces)
  • Operating a computer keyboard to input and access data
  • Working at heights and wearing appropriate fall equipment
  • Working in extreme temperatures both hot and cold
  • Giving and discerning the various visual and audible alarms and signals for equipment startup, evacuation, and fires
  • Participating in Medical Surveillance Testing (Annual Audiogram, Annual Physical)
  • Wearing appropriate safety equipment (safety shoes, ear protection, eye protection, SCBA respirator and harness fall protection)
  • Wearing required safety personal protective equipment (eye protection, ear protection, safety shoes)
  • Using basic hand and power tools
  • Displaying skills in manufacturing processes, including operating, maintaining and cleaning automated equipment
  • Maintaining accurate records and data
