This posting represents multiple positions that offer a range of opportunities for advancement. The minimum qualifications outlined below apply to the Plant System Owner, with increased requirements for the Plant System Owner Sr and Plant System Owner Prin. The System Owner Prin is intended for engineering candidates or others as a developmental position for plant leadership roles. The highest level for all other candidates is Plant System Owner Sr (SG 7). Requirements

  • Engineering Bachelor’s degree from ABET accredited school with equivalent experience; or other Bachelor’s degree with equivalent experience; or Associate’s degree with equivalent experience; or high school diploma or GED with equivalent experience.
  • With an ABET accredited Engineering Bachelor’s degree, three (3) years of relevant plant experience; or with any other Bachelor’s degree, five (5) years of relevant plant experience; or, with an Associate’s degree, seven (7) years of relevant plant experience; or, with a high school diploma or GED, nine (9) years of relevant plant experience.
  • Must have the ability to read and understand technical documentation.
  • Must be able to write reports in a clear and concise manner.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly to craft and management personnel.
  • Must have organizational skills necessary to maintain files and documentation related to position.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, analyze and correct problems with assigned plant system.
  • Implement and assist with process improvement projects and/or related programs.
  • Coordinate activities of employees in maintenance, energy production, lab, coal handling, or outside contractors as required.
  • Consult with or actively seek advice from Region Plant Engineering.

  • Base salary starts at $74,551 – $93,188.50.
