About The Position

Join the Sheboygan Falls – Spartech Team! We are currently looking for a Plant Supply Chain Manager to join our team full-time to support our variety of customers. Position has overall responsibility for the supply chain at the manufacturing plant. This includes raw material purchasing, inventory control, production scheduling, demand planning, and finished goods shipping. Responsible for data integrity and the flow of information. Functions as the point of contact for any issues that may delay shipments to customers. Provides leadership for and coordinates activities of shipping and receiving departments.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for site management system to ensure compliance with all regulatory and corporate requirements, including ensuring all site associates understand and comply with these requirements.
  • Manages the shipping and receiving functions for the plant. This includes planning the production flow, troubleshooting raw material issues, handling staffing issues, monitoring production orders and schedules.
  • Develops and analyzes production and operating reports and resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
  • Develops and collaborates with Shift Supervisors.
  • Provides assistance to employees in solving work-related problems.
  • Works cooperatively with Human Resources to determine the most effective resolution(s).
  • Develops and revises standard operational and working practices and observe employees to ensure compliance.
  • Identifies projects and methods to improve performance in all areas of manufacturing.
  • Sets expectations and provides feedback to ensure staff achieves site goals in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Understands operations, equipment, parts, and associated metrics and ensures supervisor understanding.
  • Participates in and contributes to site, department and individual goals.
  • Participates on teams and projects as requested.
  • Collaborates with plant personnel to ensure consistent application of procedures, encourage teamwork and provide effective communication.
  • Assist in identifying training needs and performance gaps for operators.
  • Other projects/duties as assigned.
