About The Position

National Beef is hiring an entry-level Plant Sanitation General Laborer for its 3rd shift crew. This on-site, safety-sensitive position helps prepare the plant for production on the 1st and 2nd shifts by cleaning equipment and plant areas, disassembling and washing machines, and ensuring equipment is reassembled and floors are released to production on schedule. The work involves heavy cleaning and use of high-pressure hoses. The posting lists starting wages of $18.65 per hour, a $3.00-per-hour weekly perfect-attendance bonus, and a $1.50-per-hour shift differential. It also describes possible pay of up to $23.15 per hour to start and $25.10 per hour after training.

Requirements

Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery used in cleaning.
Ability to walk, bend, push, pull, and lift repetitively during working hours.
Ability to work at different levels and be comfortable with open walkways.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Excellent attendance.
Must successfully complete a background check.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; visa sponsorship is not available.

Responsibilities

Use a high-pressure hose to foam and sanitize equipment and plant areas.
Help disassemble machines and wash them down.
Perform heavy cleaning jobs upon request, including at multiple levels.
Ensure equipment is assembled and the floor is released to production in a timely manner.
Notify supervisors of any repairs required.
Perform general labor and other duties as assigned.
