Plant Sanitarian
About The Position

We are looking for a Plant Sanitarian to join our team to perform hands-on sanitation tasks such as the cleaning of equipment and other areas of the facility as designated by the lead and/or supervisor using approved sanitation chemicals. This individual will perform tasks in wet, hot and humid environments. The use of stairs, ladders, and has the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. The successful candidate must be able to work flexible hours and times, including weekends. The home shift for this position will be third (3rd) shift. The sanitarian role is flexible and conforms to the seasonal production schedule and environment.
Requirements
- Adaptability to do different activities each day with strong attention to detail
- Interest in being a part of an effective and productive manufacturing process
- Ability to read, write with desire to continually learn and improve
- Knowledge of Industrial Safety and Hygiene guideline with previous experience in plant production sites with added plus of exposure to food industry
Responsibilities
- Effectively follow Lock-Out Tag-Out procedures
- Assemble and disassemble equipment using various hand and power tools
- Have knowledge of cleaning with chemical use and purpose
- Document completion of tasks on respective master Sanitation schedule
- Ability to drive a Genie Boom, operate a scissor lift, floor scrubber, power washer/ice blaster
