About The Position

As a Plant Production Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting our manufacturing operations, helping ensure products are produced safely, accurately, and on time. Your work directly impacts our ability to serve customers and maintain the high standards GVF is known for.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Forklift experience (required)
• Valid G driver’s license
• Ability to perform physical work (including lifting up to 55 lbs)
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good time management and organizational skills
• Team-oriented mindset with a strong work ethic

Nice To Haves

• Experience in agriculture or manufacturing is an asset

Responsibilities

• Manufacture products accurately and on schedule
• Sequence and prioritize production runs
• Label finished products correctly
• Set up, weigh, and record incoming ingredients
• Maintain inventory levels and ensure proper stock rotation (FIFO)
• Handle rework materials according to HACCP/CFIA standards
• Follow all safety, HACCP, and regulatory procedures
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Report any safety concerns, incidents, or errors promptly
• Work collaboratively with the production team
• Contribute to a positive and respectful team environment
• Support other areas of the plant as needed
