About The Position

Constellation is seeking a motivated Mechanical Engineering student for a paid Summer 2027 internship with its Power Team at the Perryman location in Aberdeen, Maryland. The internship is approximately 10 weeks, from June 7, 2027, through August 13, 2027. Interns work on specific projects to gain practical, hands-on experience, working independently under an assigned supervisor and technical mentor. Past projects have included investigating corrosion sources in water systems, developing options to repair water piping, changing a liquid-level instrument design in a pressure vessel, analyzing safety valve maintenance and inspections, installing wireless amp current meters, and conducting an aqueous copper removal pilot project. Interns gain experience alongside professionals, explore tasks and departments, receive mentorship, connect with industry leaders, and contribute to a company focused on sustainability. Consideration for employment after the internship depends on performance and business needs. Constellation will not provide visa sponsorship now or in the future; applicants must be legally able to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.

Requirements

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Mechanical Engineering for Fall 2027.
A track record of outstanding academic performance.

Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.
Excellent leadership, written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to lawfully work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
