About The Position

The Plant Ops Technician Level II at Ovation Communities is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of facility systems and equipment. This role is crucial in maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for residents and staff by overseeing the functionality of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other critical systems.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in plant operations or a similar technical role.
  • Proven track record of maintaining and repairing equipment in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and resolving operational issues efficiently.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand and work with complex machinery and systems.
  • Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment for maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with team members and management.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols and procedures.

  • Additional technical certifications or vocational training in a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance of facility systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot system malfunctions, and perform necessary repairs to ensure optimal operation.
  • Collaborate with other team members to address and resolve maintenance issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance procedures and schedules to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulations while performing maintenance tasks.
  • Provide support during facility upgrades and renovations, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests and prioritize tasks to ensure timely resolution.
  • Communicate effectively with residents and staff to address maintenance concerns and provide updates on repair status.
