About The Position

Airgas is hiring a Plant Operator in Tampa, Florida, to support the safe and efficient operation of an industrial gas production facility, including cylinder filling. The role helps maintain quality standards and a reliable supply of industrial gases by caring for production equipment and safely handling cylinders and other materials. The operator contributes to inspections, routine maintenance, quality checks, and accurate production and equipment records. The role also includes participating in team meetings and safety initiatives.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in plant operations, industrial maintenance, or a related field.
Technical certification in industrial operations.
Industrial gas experience.

Responsibilities

Operate and care for production equipment, including compressors, pumps, filling stations, and forklifts.
Conduct routine equipment inspections and contribute to maintenance; promptly communicate equipment needs.
Safely move and transport cylinders, fill cylinders, and perform quality checks in accordance with safety guidelines.
Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, cylinder tracking, and production activities.
Follow safety protocols and procedures.
Participate in collaborative team meetings and safety initiatives.
