The production operator purpose is to transfer incoming raw product from tanker trucks and operate specialized equipment to further process the raw material into a dried finished product under strict guidelines that is packaged for shipment. Progressive wage scale from 27.55$ up to 37.13$ Steady and prédicable work schedule; working twelve hour shifts on a day and night rotation. Day shift hours are from 6h00 - 18h00 and night shift from 18h00 - 6h00 Team work and collaborative work environnement
Requirements
- Grade twelve education or equivalent
- Previous experience as an equipment operator
- Knowledge in HACCP
- Ability to work under minimal supervision
- Work in a multi-cultural team environment
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to communicate in English
- Physical requirements: Standing for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift 55 Lbs repetitively
- Be in good physical condition
Responsibilities
- Unloading of animal blood with the use of hoses and pumps
- Lab testing of incoming animal blood to ensure that it meets operational guide lines
- Prepare and clean the tanker using an automated and manual washing system
- Separation, Concentration and Drying of raw product
- Bagging of finished product in powder format, while wearing protective mask
- Carrying and pilling 25 kg (55 lbs) bags of finished products or chemicals
- Operate specialised equipment to further process the finished product for shipment
- Follow samples procedures for third party lab tests
- Clean any process spill (animal blood and similar product)
- Monitor and record process data on a computer
- Documentation: maintain all required documentation related to their duties
- House Keeping: Clean equipment and floors are per process and house keeping rules
