About The Position

Airgas is seeking a reliable and hardworking Plant Operator to join its dry-ice production team in Star, Mississippi. The role focuses on safely and efficiently loading and packaging dry ice products in accordance with quality control standards, while maintaining a clean and organized facility and safe work environment. The listed schedule is 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., and the pay is $21–$22 per hour. The operator loads, weighs, and packages dry ice products—including blocks, pellets, and slices—into containers according to customer orders. The role also involves inspecting finished products for weight, density, and packaging integrity; safely operating production machinery and material-handling equipment; and accurately recording production numbers, shipping manifests, and inventory usage. Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rates, ratios, commissions, proportions, and percentages.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
One year of experience in a production or manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Load, weigh, and package dry ice products in various forms and containers according to customer orders.
