Plant Operator - Night Shift
About The Position
WIN Waste Innovations is hiring a Plant Operator to operate and maintain the Hydrogen Sulfide Treatment Plant, Gas Collection and Control System (GCCS), and Leachate Collection System (LCS), in accordance with applicable Local, County, State, and Federal regulations. The role includes collecting samples, recording and evaluating operating data, making decisions about day-to-day system operations, performing repairs and preventive maintenance, and responding to malfunctions. The position includes a rotating on-call schedule and work on the night shift, with overtime, weekend, and holiday availability required.
Requirements
- Experience in mechanical work and electrical diagnostics.
- Experience or demonstrated strong aptitude in analytical problem-solving.
- Experience using field-testing equipment, meters, and sampling equipment.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic tools.
- Ability to read and interpret operating manuals, schematics, and drawings.
- Experience with PLC, SCADA, and other controls.
- Air-compressor maintenance experience and knowledge of refrigerated dryers.
- Experience working on blowers, electric motors, pneumatic pumps, and electric pumps.
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays, including night shifts.
- Ability to maintain a positive work environment through appropriate interactions and communication with customers, clients, vendors, coworkers, and management.
- Reliable transportation.
Nice To Haves
- Low-voltage electrical troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of or experience with emissions controls and analyzer operation.
- Safety-oriented.
Responsibilities
- Collect samples and record data on control-system operation as required.
- Evaluate data and make informed decisions affecting day-to-day control-system operations.
- Repair and perform preventive maintenance on the flare, treatment plant, and associated control systems according to manufacturer specifications.
- Respond to system malfunctions and participate in a rotating on-call schedule.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
