About The Position

TDIndustries is seeking a Central Plant Operator (Building Tech II/III) for the day shift at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. The operator monitors and operates large centrifugal chillers, cooling towers, pumps, and boilers to maintain the chilled-water and hot-water loops used by airport cooling systems. The role includes advanced troubleshooting and repairs in accordance with standard operating procedures, safety standards, and manufacturer guidelines. The operator also manages tool and spare-parts inventory, recommends equipment purchases to improve efficiency, and partners with others to develop and implement process improvements across facility operations.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Current universal refrigeration license and/or other trade licenses as required.
Five to seven years of central plant or relevant experience.
Ability to prioritize tasks, work effectively under stress, and meet short deadlines.
Professional demeanor, positive attitude, and strong work ethic.
Good oral and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Technical degree in a related field.

Responsibilities

Perform planned maintenance, repairs, modifications, and general facility maintenance tasks.
Mentor and train fellow Building Technicians as required.
Respond to Facility Service Work Orders from building occupants.
Troubleshoot building infrastructure.
Observe and comply with company safety policies.
Complete required paperwork accurately and on time.
Use standard-issue tools and equipment, and keep tools and work areas clean and orderly.
Work toward and complete facility team-based goals.
Identify opportunities for process or system improvements and implement them when approved.
