About The Position

The Plant Operator works on a portable crew, safely and efficiently operating a crushing plant to meet budgeted production goals. The role involves manual labor and equipment operation to crush concrete at job sites, assisting with equipment maintenance, completing daily inspections and maintenance records, and reporting production data and downtime. The operator participates in scheduled safety meetings, wears required PPE, reports equipment and safety issues, and recommends operational changes to improve productivity.

Requirements

Ability to work in all weather conditions.
Ability to stand for extended periods at conveyor belt operation.
Ability to regularly climb heights of 40 feet.
Ability to regularly lift, carry, and/or pull 50 pounds.
Ability to work in a dusty, loud-noise environment.
Ability to wear required safety equipment, including a hard hat, safety glasses, goggles, steel-toed boots, ear plugs, respirator, gloves, and other similar items as required.

Responsibilities

Safely and efficiently operate the crushing plant to meet budgeted production goals.
Perform lifting, pulling, carrying, and other manual labor tasks to operate equipment designed to crush concrete at the site.
Assist with equipment maintenance and report equipment operation or safety problems to the Production Lead/Foreman.
Ensure daily routine maintenance and inspections are performed, and keep safety and maintenance logs accurate and up to date.
Produce reports on the previous business day's plant production data and downtime.
Participate in scheduled safety meetings.
Wear appropriate PPE at all times.
Recommend operational changes to the Production Lead/Foreman to improve productivity.
Perform other duties as required or assigned.
