About The Position
Gopher Resource is hiring a Plant Operator in Eagan, Minnesota, to collaborate with team members in the safe and efficient recycling of lead-based batteries. The role supports team production goals and workplace safety. Following initial training, new hires work a 4-days-on, 4-days-off schedule with 12-hour overnight shifts, approximately 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. The listed overnight starting pay is $37.22 per hour plus a $0.80-per-hour differential; the posting title also advertises $38.02 per hour.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Pass all pre-employment testing, including a pre-hire assessment, criminal background check, employment and academic verifications, drug screen, and physical.
- Proficient English reading and writing skills and basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, and multiplication.
- Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, to perform essential job functions.
Nice To Haves
- Previous work experience in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment.
- Previous experience operating mobile equipment, such as a forklift.
Responsibilities
- Consistently follow all standard operating procedures in the assigned plant work area.
- Operate heavy mobile equipment safely and properly.
- Keep the assigned work area clean and in excellent working condition.
- Work as part of a team and support fellow team members when needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
