About The Position

Canada Building Materials (CBM), a part of Votorantim Cimentos North America (VCNA), is seeking a Heavy Equipment & Plant Operator for its St. Marys location. This is a permanent full-time position with a focus on operating heavy equipment and plant machinery safely and efficiently. Requirements

At least 18 years of age.
Must possess valid Ontario drivers’ license.
Ability to work 12-hour shifts.
Must be able to work 6am-6pm with the possibility of becoming a split shift - days & afternoons.
Must have reliable transportation to the location (not accessible by public transit).
OSSGD or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Operate heavy equipment (loader, skid steer etc.), various hand tools, and other types of machinery in a safe and efficient manner.
Perform maintenance on plant equipment as needed, including changing screens, greasing, moving equipment etc.
Provide customer service to aggregate haulers, as needed.
Liaison with contractors working on-site.
Follow all safety procedures and policies.
Participate in ongoing health and safety initiatives.
Other duties as assigned.
