About The Position

Daniels Health & Sharpsmart is hiring a Plant Operator for its medical waste treatment facility in Easton, Pennsylvania. The role includes checking in containers, verifying paperwork, moving and unloading designated waste containers, and operating a forklift to load an autoclave. The work involves repetitive lifting and material handling, accurately reading and recording weights, and maintaining quality standards while performing repetitive tasks. Employees must be comfortable standing for extended periods and working in personal protective equipment (PPE). The position is permanent, full-time, and 40 hours per week on a Monday-to-Friday third shift from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. The offered rate is $22.00 per hour and is non-negotiable. Full-time employees receive benefits, sick leave, and vacation leave from day one. Daniels Health & Sharpsmart provides medical waste collection and treatment services to healthcare customers, with a focus on safety, infection control, and reducing environmental burden.

Requirements

Previous experience in a labor-intensive warehouse job involving repetitive lifting of 50–75 lb containers.
Ability to lift 55 lb bins and push a four-wheeled cart weighing up to 200 lb.
Basic math skills and ability to read and record weights accurately.
Familiarity with weighbridge or scale systems.
Comfort performing repetitive tasks while maintaining quality standards.
Ability to stand for extended periods and work in PPE.
Willingness to undergo a five-panel urine drug screening.
Willingness to undergo a seven-year background check.
Proven longevity with employers.
Can-do attitude.
