About The Position
Cleanaway is seeking skilled Mobile Plant Operators to work at its Deer Park Landfill site. This hands-on role involves operating heavy machinery and contributing to waste operations that support the local environment. It is a permanent, full-time position on an afternoon shift, Monday to Friday, with potential overtime and weekend work.
Requirements
- Hold a valid plant operator ticket or equivalent competency for at least two to three of the listed types of equipment (such as VOC or RII).
- Have proven experience operating dozers, compactors, wheel loaders, and moxy trucks.
- Have a good understanding of safety and environmental compliance in a landfill or earthworks setting.
- Be able to work well in a team and follow operational plans.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in landfill operations or the waste industry.
- HR licence.
Responsibilities
- Operate dozers, compactors, wheeled loaders, and moxy trucks.
- Perform tip face operations, including waste placement and compaction.
- Follow operational plans and EPA guidelines.
- Carry out daily cover operations, including mixing and applying cover materials.
- Conduct basic site maintenance and assist with light manual handling when required.
