About The Position

Responsible for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of equipment within the assigned asset. Operate production equipment to maintain designated operating conditions. Achieve and maintain pressure and volume targets. Conduct regular surveillance of automated production operations, and general maintenance. Perform shutdown and startup of equipment. Conduct daily rounds and monitoring of facilities, and identification of operational problems. Responsible for lockout and tagout duties for maintenance work. Identify, report, and correct safety and environmental concerns. Monitor SCADA equipment and report issues using the work order system. Perform general building maintenance, carpentry, painting, plumbing, concrete work and basic construction. Speak clearly, both in person and by telephone, using a high level of verbal skills, and listen carefully. Write effectively, and understand verbal and written communications, including but not limited to email. Maintain a regular, dependable attendance, and high level of performance. Maintain a high regard for personal safety, the safety of company assets and employees, and the general public. May be required to work non-traditional hours. Callout and unscheduled overtime is required, and anticipated. Required to carry a company-provided cell phone/pager and be available to respond during working hours and non-working hours. Other daily, weekly and monthly duties, and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Industrial process understanding or ability to quickly obtain from hands on experience and training from other employees
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers.
  • Subject to random drug testing.
  • Must pass applicable Operator Qualification (OQ) tasks, as required.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft applications (including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook) and other assigned computer programs.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, including but not limited to the ability to work from written or verbal instructions.
  • Must be able to speak and understand English.
  • Ability to work with a team, take direction from supervisor(s), focus attention on details, follow work rules, and adhere to established work schedules.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize daily work, maintain confidentiality as necessary, and work effectively with limited supervision.
  • Must be highly self-motivated, dependable, and punctual.
  • Must be able to perform all essential functions of the job.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates or technical degree is a plus
  • 1 year or more experience in operations or maintenance of gas processing plants and equipment
