Plant Operations Tech
About The Position
The Plant Operations Tech is responsible for maintaining residential and public areas through responsive, accurate, and efficient maintenance. The role performs routine and emergency maintenance and repairs using general maintenance techniques, materials, tools, and equipment. It includes responding to emergency calls for system and equipment failures and completing work orders promptly with detailed records of work performed and relevant equipment information. Dependability, punctuality, and attendance are essential. The role is located in Clearwater, Florida. The posting offers full-time and part-time schedules: full-time, Saturday through Wednesday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.; part-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, residential building maintenance knowledge, English communication skills, a valid driver’s license, and successful completion of a level two background check.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Some working knowledge of residential building maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, flooring, and appliances.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English with residents and staff and take direction well.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to successfully complete a level two background check.
- One year of long-term care or nursing home experience.
Nice To Haves
- Technical certificate or degree preferred, but not required.
- Two to three years of maintenance experience in a residential apartment complex, commercial building, or hotel preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine and emergency repairs in residential apartments and public areas, including electrical, plumbing, lighting, drywall and concrete, painting, doors, and locks.
- Respond to emergency calls for system and equipment failure.
- Complete work orders in a timely manner and provide detailed information about tasks performed and pertinent equipment information.
- Maintain dependable and punctual attendance.
