About The Position

The Plant Operations I position at South Central Hospital is a critical role responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe operation of the hospital's physical plant systems. This role focuses on maintaining, monitoring, and repairing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to support uninterrupted hospital services. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Experience in facilities maintenance or plant operations, preferably in a healthcare or similar environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to operate standard maintenance equipment.

  • Technical certification or vocational training in HVAC, electrical, or mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other mechanical systems within the hospital.
  • Respond promptly to service requests and emergency situations to restore system functionality and minimize disruption.
  • Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections accurately in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with other facilities staff and external contractors to coordinate repairs, upgrades, and preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Ensure all work is performed safely, adhering to hospital safety protocols and industry best practices.
