About The Position

Arrow Senior Living is seeking a Plant Operations Assistant for The Fremont, a senior living community in Springfield, Missouri. This full-time role involves assisting the Plant Operations Director in maintaining the community's facilities, equipment, and tools. The position requires a proactive approach to addressing repair and maintenance requests, ensuring the safety of employees, guests, and residents, and documenting all work performed. Arrow Senior Living is a growing company with a strong emphasis on internal promotion and employee appreciation.

Requirements

  • At least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • A Missouri Class E license.
  • Thorough knowledge of construction, refinishing, painting, plumbing, floor/carpet care, and refurbishing.
  • At least two (2) years of experience in apartment or other multiple unit maintenance.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move items more than 50 pounds.
  • Ability to perform standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
  • Ability to use a ladder.
  • Willingness to perform indoor and outdoor work, including in inclement weather.
  • Must be criminally cleared.
  • Must be in good health and physically and mentally capable of performing assigned tasks.
  • Health screening performed by a physician not more than six (6) months prior to or seven (7) days following employment.
  • Must test free from pulmonary tuberculosis at time of health screening.
  • Must have a clean driving record as per the insured’s policy.
  • Working knowledge of current OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Plant Operations Director in maintaining all areas of the community.
  • Service equipment and tools.
  • Respond to repair and maintenance requests.
  • Document progress and completion of maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain the safety of employees, guests, and residents.
  • Address potential environmental hazards and emergencies.
