About The Position

If you are a distribution or warehouse leader, we have an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Dallas, Texas location, you will be responsible for both strategic and operational leadership to ensure “best in class” daily operation of our distribution center. This role ensures an All Hands On Safety culture and a positive work environment. You must drive process improvement and maintain high service levels for customers while aligning with corporate objectives. Your duties and responsibilities will be completed under the general guidance of the Sr. Director of Distribution & Logistics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field
  • 7+ years warehouse experience in a high-volume, high-SKU, site that includes material planning, receiving, pick/pack/ship, quality, kitting, & warehousing
  • 5+ years in a Management-level, people leader role
  • 5+ years with hands-on ERP system (Oracle, SAP, JD Edwards) experience that includes WMS platforms; familiarity with WMS/ERP integration
  • Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Must be able to effectively and professionally communicate verbally and in writing
  • Experience with MS Office Suite

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree (MBA or Operations)
  • Certifications such as Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, APICS CPIM, or CSCP
  • Experience with distribution automation systems and also supporting applications (e.g., WES, WCS, RF, Conveyors, Label Applicators, In Line Scanners, etc)
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 policies and practices
  • Ability to work flexible hours and/or a variety of shifts

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead a staff / team with emphasis on accountability, collaboration, and communication to achieve performance targets
  • Effectively collaborates with other Copeland sites & functions, suppliers, and customers
  • Ability to effectively communicate with customers to ensure alignment
  • Manage and model our safety culture and strive for 100% compliance concerning safety policies and procedures
  • Ensures the operation complies with federal, state, local and Copeland safety, health and labor standards
  • Continuous improvement focus to reduce process waste and improve customer satisfaction
  • Ownership of site’s annual budget and managing individual cost accounts
  • Lead & measure daily processes to ensure order fulfillment and productivity
  • Monthly execution of key performance indicators (KPIs), productivity, on time delivery, sales, cycle counts, safety, etc.
  • Produce data and reports on distribution activities
