About The Position

AHF Products has a great career opportunity for a Plant Manager at our Lancaster Plant in Lancaster, PA. As a Plant Manager you will have full accountability for leading all aspects of plant operations, driving operational excellence, and delivering outstanding results in safety, quality, cost, delivery, and employee engagement. This role will also have oversite to our Beech Creek, PA facility. This role provides strategic and hands-on leadership across all plant functions, ensuring the effective execution of production plans while building a high-performance culture grounded in continuous improvement, compliance, and accountability. The Plant Manager serves as a visible leader on the plant floor, aligns cross-functional teams to business objectives, and drives sustainable improvements that support both current operational demands and long-term growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • 3+ years in a senior plant, operations, or site leadership role with full P&L or cost-center accountability.
  • Experience leading and managing a diverse group of functions, including operations/production, engineering, materials purchasing and distribution, maintenance and reliability, quality, human resources, environmental health and safety, and plant finance.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean, optimization, and other process improvement processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams in a complex environment, drive performance, meet goals and drive continuous improvement
  • Strong problem solving, negotiating and decision-making skills, with a proven ability to manage complex situations
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Ability and willingness to work core hours to support the needs of different shifts
  • Must be able to successfully complete and pass a background check, employment verification and drug screening
  • Positive and Verifiable Work History
  • Must follow safety guidelines and wear applicable safety equipment, e.g., safety glasses, side shields, approved safety shoes, and other PPE as needed

Responsibilities

  • Lead the plant to meet or exceed production goals for throughput, yield, uptime, quality, cost, and customer service.
  • Own plant-level performance for quality, service, and customer satisfaction, ensuring strong alignment across Operations, Planning, Distribution, and Quality.
  • Provide strategic leadership for capacity planning, production execution, and future growth readiness.
  • Partner with Maintenance and Engineering to ensure equipment reliability, preventative maintenance execution, and long-term asset health.
  • Maintain property, plant, and equipment to support safe, efficient, and reliable operations.
  • Manage plant operations against established operational and capital budgets, ensuring financial goals are met or exceeded.
  • Support and lead plant strategy execution, capital planning, and long-term capability development.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, New Product Development, Corporate CI, and Engineering to execute new product introductions, process changes, and expansions.
  • Monitor and drive performance through KPI dashboards, performance reviews, and structured accountability routines.
  • Serve as a visible plant-wide safety leader and role model, championing a zero-injury safety culture across all functions.
  • Ensure the creation and maintenance of a safe, environmentally compliant workplace; proactively identify and eliminate systemic safety risks.
  • Hold full authority and accountability to stop any unsafe, illegal, or non-compliant work and ensure immediate corrective action or escalation.
  • Promote continuous improvement of safety behaviors, risk assessments, and engagement tools.
  • Ensure compliance with all environmental, health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the plant leadership team, including Manufacturing, Materials, Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, EHS, and Supply Chain leaders.
  • Drive organizational effectiveness through coaching, talent development, succession planning, and goal alignment at all leadership levels.
  • Oversee hiring, employee relations, training, and development to ensure a skilled, engaged, and productive workforce.
  • Maintain a strong plant-floor presence, engaging employees regularly to build trust, morale, accountability, and performance excellence.
  • Lead and sustain a culture of continuous improvement using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, root cause analysis, and structured problem-solving.
  • Champion standardization through visual management systems, KPI reviews, project management discipline, and corrective action governance.
  • Encourage and support change initiatives by setting high expectations, empowering teams, and embedding improvements into daily operations.
  • Participate directly in continuous improvement projects and cross-functional initiatives.
