Job Summary: Allegion Hollow Metal is seeking a results-driven Plant Manager to lead our Southern California manufacturing facility. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution to deliver safe, on-time production of hollow metal doors and frames while upholding the highest standards of quality and cost control. You will own and drive the plant’s performance across safety, quality, delivery, and cost, oversee planning, maintenance, and manufacturing operations, and develop a capable, engaged team across multiple shifts. You’ll partner with engineering, sourcing, and sales to meet customer demand, manage capital projects, and champion continuous improvement through lean principles and strong process discipline. The plant specializes in highly configured, made-to-order hollow metal products, requiring agile scheduling, robust configuration control, and close collaboration with customers and the supply base. Experience in the metal fabrication industry (welding, forming, painting) is a plus, and a background in OSHA compliance, quality systems, and budget management will position you to excel in a fast-paced Southern California setting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations management, or related business discipline.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in manufacturing operations leadership
  • Purposeful lean implementation experience that delivered both cultural and operational excellence.
  • Progressive experience as a site leader in a manufacturing organization, with broad functional oversight including leadership of safety, manufacturing/production, quality, engineering, materials and planning.
  • Demonstrated performance of providing value to drive growth and improved business health.
  • Strong interpersonal and high-performance team building skills, with ability to develop collaborative relationships, influencing up, down and across organizational lines.
  • A strong level of emotional intelligence.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the metal fabrication industry (welding, forming, painting) is a plus, and a background in OSHA compliance, quality systems, and budget management will position you to excel in a fast-paced Southern California setting.
