About The Position

SSW Advanced Technologies, LLC is a growing multinational supplier to the global appliance OEMs. With over 70 years of expertise and innovation, they design and sell components and systems to various markets including residential appliances, commercial refrigeration, HVAC, retail display, and home/office organization. The Onsite Plant Manager will oversee all aspects of plant operations, including production, maintenance, shipping and receiving, and quality control. This role focuses on plant optimization to ensure maximum production quantity and quality, leading managers in Production, Maintenance, Lab, and Grains departments. Employment is contingent upon successfully passing pre-employment requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • 5 or more years of experience.
  • Prior production management experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge and expertise in industrial safety, quality systems, and financial management of a similarly sized operation.
  • Able to travel to other divisions when required.
  • Availability to go to the division from Monday to Friday.
  • Detailed and hands-on oriented.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree is a plus.
  • Experience in Metal Manufacturing companies preferred.
  • Knowledge of wire drawing, production welding, and the wire construction products market preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all duties in a safe manner.

  • Direct and manage plant operations to meet business targets for safety, delivery, production, maintenance, quality, and shipping and receiving.
  • Achieve business outcomes that complement the organization's ability to grow market segments.
  • Direct administrative activities directly related to making products or providing services.
  • Coordinate plant activities through planning with plant personnel and the management team to ensure all manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Develop and control profits, plans, and budget.
  • Monitor suppliers to ensure that they efficiently and effectively provide needed goods or services within budgetary limits.
  • Review financial statements, sales or activity reports, or other performance data to measure productivity or goal achievement or to identify areas needing cost reduction or program improvement.
  • Implement cost-effective systems or control over capital, operating expenditures, manpower, wages, and salaries.
  • Manage capital asset maintenance.
  • Establish and monitor overall plant performance for production and quality standards.
  • Control and minimize labor overtime, premium freight, and repair expenses.
  • Maintain existing plant facilities and equipment; replace or make adjustments to plant facilities and equipment when necessary.
  • Provide leadership and training to accomplish the company goals and objectives.
  • Fully implement the organization's quality & operations system (SSW PS 2.0).
  • Implement and maintain preventative maintenance programs.
  • Incorporate shop floor organization and 5S as a way of doing daily business.
  • Provide direction, development, and leadership to plant and supervisory personnel.
  • Direct and manage all plant operations with overall responsibilities for safety, delivery, production, maintenance, quality, and other production-related activities.
  • Ensure increasing levels of customer and employee satisfaction while improving the efficiency of manpower, materials, and machines.
  • Directs all employees of the plant (directly & indirectly) and oversees performance management and hiring of the employees within the plant.
  • Directly manages all SSW Premier Salaried employees.
