About The Position

The Supervisor, Solar Operations is a hands-on leadership role responsible for the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of solar generation facilities. As the senior on-site leader, you will work alongside your team while overseeing both operational and administrative activities. You will ensure Enbridge values, safety expectations, and performance standards are consistently applied, while supporting the delivery of operational plans, budgets, and long-term facility performance.

Requirements

  • Related university degree and seven-plus years’ experience OR nine-plus years of previous field operations experience, OR equivalent mix of formal education and experience.
  • Technical Certification/Training / Experience in the electrical and Solar O&M fields.
  • 5–10 years’ relevant experience with strong troubleshooting (SCADA, substation, collection systems).
  • Familiarity with NERC, ERCOT responsibilities.
  • Strong understanding of all aspects of solar PV design, installation, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • Solid understanding of NEC code, as well as NFPA 70E.
  • Strong safety focus and ability to work under pressure while staying organized and detail-oriented.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and computer skills (Excel, Oracle).
  • Independent worker with sound judgment, decision-making, and reporting abilities.
  • Customer-focused, results-driven, and committed to continuous learning and company processes.
  • Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a safety-first culture by ensuring the well-being of all staff, contractors, and equipment; apply Enbridge’s Safety Management System and oversee incident reporting, investigations, and contractor compliance.
  • Oversee reliable facility operations by managing daily schedules, site outages, maintenance plans, and work execution while supervising technicians and contractors.
  • Optimize site performance through technical expertise, including troubleshooting, maintenance of high-voltage equipment, and expediting repairs across balance-of-plant and substation systems.
  • Manage operational processes such as data collection, work orders, service reports, inventory, and compliance records while maintaining accurate operations logs and regulatory documentation.
  • Provide leadership and development to on-site staff through coaching, training, performance management, and the establishment of clear goals and expectations.
  • Own financial performance by managing budgets, controlling costs, administering procurement and purchase orders, and supporting forecasting, reporting, and business case development.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders including off-takers, monitoring centers, OEMs, regulators, and emergency responders to ensure seamless communication, compliance, and rapid issue resolution.
  • Maintenance or calibration of any equipment at the Site that is owned by the Purchasing Utility, the Interconnecting Utility, the System Operator, or any other third party.
