We are currently seeking a Plant Manager to join our team of skilled professionals based at our Hillsboro, TX location. The successful candidate is an experienced and hands-on transformational leader who is capable of leading technological and cultural change to drive performance. Reporting to the Regional Manufacturing Manager, this position will be responsible for directing and coordinating all manufacturing activities at our facility in order to meet and exceed operational goals and objectives in the areas of employee relations, safety, environmental compliance, customer service, product quality, cost and productivity. Plant currently has approximately 50+ employees.

  • Experience in fostering and maintaining a positive and productive labor relations environment in a non union environment.
  • Leadership and manufacturing management experience in continuous improvement activities.
  • Strong skills in the areas of supply chain, production planning, scheduling, engineering, maintenance, management accounting, and project management.
  • Experience with implementing systematic approaches to delivering and sustaining results.
  • Experience with process safety management and creating a culture where all accidents are preventable.
  • Experience with maintenance management systems and proactive maintenance practices.
  • Track record of meeting deadlines, working independently, and practicing good organizational skills.
  • Possesses strong interpersonal skills, and effective leadership characteristics working with all employees, support resources, sales, suppliers, customers and the local community.
  • Strong PC & software skills in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Bachelor of engineering degree (preference Mechanical engineering) with minimum 5 years plant manager experience or 10+ years in manufacturing management.

Responsibilities

  • Directing and coordinating all manufacturing activities at our facility to meet and exceed operational goals and objectives in the areas of employee relations, safety, environmental compliance, customer service, product quality, cost and productivity.
  • Developing and coaching managers and supervisors in a non-Union environment.
  • Fostering and maintaining a positive and productive labor relations environment in a non union environment.
  • Driving results in safety, quality, service and productivity through continuous improvement activities.
  • Developing and implementing operational criteria to measure the achievement of plant objectives and efficiencies.
  • Implementing systematic approaches to delivering and sustaining results.
  • Ensuring process safety management and creating a culture where all accidents are preventable.
  • Managing maintenance management systems and proactive maintenance practices.
  • Meeting deadlines, working independently, and practicing good organizational skills.
