About The Position

Heidelberg Materials is one of the world's largest suppliers of building materials. Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees. This role leads safe, reliable, and efficient daily operations of the aggregates facility. It involves building a high-performing team through clear expectations, coaching, and development, and driving continuous improvement in production, maintenance, and overall site performance. The position ensures full compliance with environmental, health, MSHA safety, and quality standards, and manages budgets, resources, and production planning to meet operational and business targets. The Plant Manager also partners with sales, logistics, local stakeholders, regulators, and the surrounding community.

Requirements

  • Plant Manager, aggregate mining, and maintenance experience required.
  • Experience with budgeting, cost control and performance metrics.
  • Strong people leadership skills with the ability to hold teams accountable.
  • Sound operational judgment and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced plant environment.
  • Strong knowledge of crushing and screening operations, mobile/heavy equipment and maintenance practices.
  • Commitment to safety, environmental compliance, and continuous learning.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or similarly related field, preferred.
