About The Position

SRM Concrete, a national leader in ready mix concrete, is hiring a Mixer Operator / Plant Manager to join their growing team. This role combines hands-on driving with plant management responsibilities in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. The position plays a vital role in ensuring safe and efficient concrete deliveries while overseeing daily plant operations, maintaining quality standards, and supporting a culture of teamwork, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Active Class A or Class B CDL and current DOT Medical Card.
  • Proven safe driving record and strong commitment to workplace safety.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to outstanding customer service and professionalism.
  • Ability to multitask and manage plant operations in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physically able to lift/carry up to 100 lbs, climb ladders/stairs, and work in all weather conditions.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive, “Go-Getter” attitude.
  • Willingness to complete SRM’s pre-employment screenings.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in ready mix operations, plant management, construction materials, or transportation leadership preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a concrete mixer truck (Class A or B CDL) to safely transport and deliver ready mix concrete to commercial and residential job sites.
  • Oversee daily plant operations, including scheduling, dispatch coordination, inventory management, and production efficiency.
  • Ensure concrete is loaded, mixed, and inspected to meet precise specifications and quality standards.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service at every job site and maintain strong communication with contractors, customers, and plant personnel.
  • Supervise and support plant employees, drivers, and yard personnel to ensure productivity and safety compliance.
  • Perform and oversee pre- and post-trip inspections, equipment checks, and routine maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, environmental, and company safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate production, delivery, maintenance, and operational records using company systems.
  • Assist with training, coaching, and developing team members to support operational success.
  • Coordinate with dispatch, sales, and management teams to ensure efficient routing, scheduling, and customer satisfaction.
