Requirements

  • 7 to 10 years of increasing levels of responsibility in a manufacturing environment.
  • 3 plus years’ experience with implementing Lean Manufacturing Principles.
  • Strong leadership background – ability to direct a diverse unionized workforce.
  • Financial/budget management experience.
  • Capital project development, cost estimation, and management skills.
  • Proven negotiation, management, interpersonal, coaching, and team building skills.
  • Managing for Results/ Development skills
  • Production Engineering knowledge.
  • Ability to interface with regulatory agencies.
  • Exceptional verbal/written communication.
  • Ability to manage and develop employees.
  • Strong skills
  • Working knowledge of MS applications including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, - PowerPoint and ability to grasp additional business-related applications.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all plant operations to ensure safe, efficient, and productive manufacturing performance aligned with company objectives.
  • Drive operational excellence through continuous improvement initiatives, process optimization, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Develop and lead high-performing teams by fostering employee engagement, accountability, collaboration, and professional development.
  • Ensure product quality and food safety compliance by maintaining rigorous quality standards and adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee resource utilization and production plans to maximize efficiency, meet customer demand, and minimize waste.
  • Promote a culture of safety by ensuring compliance with safety policies, conducting audits, and driving proactive risk management.
  • Manage plant financial performance through budget oversight, cost-control initiatives, and efficient allocation of resources.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Logistics, Maintenance, Quality, and other departments to achieve operational goals.
  • Monitor and improve key performance indicators (KPIs) related to safety, quality, productivity, cost, service, and employee engagement.
  • Provide strategic leadership and problem-solving to address operational challenges, support business growth, and drive sustainable results.
  • All other duties as assigned.
