About The Position

Champion Home Builders, Inc. is hiring a Plant Maintenance Worker in Weiser, Idaho. The role installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, facility structures, and pipe and electrical systems. The worker coordinates maintenance and repairs so they do not hinder production schedules and may temporarily perform non-maintenance duties. Applicants must be able to pass a 7-panel drug screen.

Requirements

One-year certificate from a college or technical school; or three to six months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Must be able to pass a 7-panel drug screen.

Responsibilities

Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment.
Listen for unusual machine or equipment sounds, discuss operating variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers, and diagnose problems or repairs.
Dismantle defective machines and equipment and install new or repaired parts.
Clean and lubricate machinery components, including shafts, bearings, and gears.
Schedule maintenance so it does not hinder production timelines.
Coordinate timely repairs to help production meet its scheduled timelines.
Install and repair electrical apparatus, wiring, and electrical and electronic machinery components.
Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
Repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
Repair and maintain the establishment’s physical structure.
Perform non-maintenance duties on a temporary basis when required.
