About The Position

Rite of Passage is hiring a Facilities Maintenance Worker at Columbus Youth Academy in Tampa, Florida. Columbus Youth Academy is a moderate-risk residential commitment program for male youth up to age 19, providing comprehensive care, treatment, supervision, evidence-based sex offender services, and individual, family, and group counseling.

The position is part of the Administration/Business Department team and is primarily responsible for overseeing and conducting site maintenance at designated Rite of Passage sites. Duties cover groundskeeping, water systems, daily maintenance, emergency repairs, remodeling projects, and new construction. The job description says the Projects Manager reports to the Program Director or another designated supervisor and directly supervises maintenance and groundskeeping staff.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 4 years of related experience.
• Licensed Technician in a related field, such as plumbing, electrical, or HVAC.
• Supervisory experience.
• Current State Driver’s License and an acceptable driving record for the past three years.
• Pass a criminal background clearance check, TB test, and drug screen; THC is not tested.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and conduct all aspects of site maintenance at designated Rite of Passage sites.
• Maintain grounds and water systems.
• Perform daily maintenance and emergency repairs.
• Oversee remodeling projects and new construction.
