About The Position

The Plant Maintenance Technician plans, directs and coordinates the work activities and resources necessary for concrete plant maintenance. This role ensures plants are able to run efficiently and effectively by diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing plant equipment, electrical systems, and equipment controls in a timely manner to ensure production schedules are met. The technician also helps prepare and schedule winter repairs and PM's, schedules preventive maintenance, and performs maintenance to reduce impact on production. Effective communication is key, advising plant managers and operators of problems, potential problems, or schedule difficulties, and collaborating with dispatch, operations, and equipment teams. The role also involves promoting and maintaining a safe work environment by exhibiting safe work behaviors, evaluating work areas for hazards, eliminating or controlling hazards, wearing prescribed PPE, and participating in daily safety huddles and safety training. Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned, including growing in alignment with the Company’s core values, competencies, and skills.

Requirements

  • High School or Equivalent
  • Experience in Industrial Maintenance or related field required
  • 3+ years experience working in industrial maintenance position required
  • A valid driver's license and meet company driver requirements
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
  • Must adhere to drug free workplace and union substance abuse testing requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in concrete plant maintenance preferred
  • Experience in fabrication, plumbing and/or welding is preferred

Responsibilities
