About The Position

The Plant Maintenance Technician supports safe, efficient, and continuous manufacturing operations in a fast‑paced production environment. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing manufacturing equipment and facility systems to ensure maximum uptime, minimal downtime, and optimal equipment performance. The ideal candidate brings strong hands‑on industrial maintenance experience, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and welding systems, and works effectively under pressure. This position partners closely with production, engineering, safety, and maintenance teams to meet production, quality, and workplace safety goals.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in plant or industrial maintenance within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong hands‑on experience with hydraulic systems, mechanical repair, welding, electric motors, conveyors, steel fabrication, and overhead cranes
  • Demonstrated ability to work as a self‑motivated, proactive, and multi‑tasking team player
  • Solid understanding of industrial maintenance practices and production equipment operations

Nice To Haves

  • Electrical license preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair manufacturing and production equipment during active operations
  • Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and corrective repairs on mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
  • Respond quickly to emergency and unplanned equipment failures to reduce production downtime
  • Maintain compliance with safety standards, policies, procedures, and documentation requirements
  • Perform steel fabrication and welding for equipment repair, modification, and installation
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical manuals, and work orders
  • Use hand tools, power tools, meters, welders, torches, and material-handling equipment safely and effectively
  • Weld, fabricate, and install machine components as needed
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas in accordance with OSHA and company standards
  • Source parts and supplies, obtain vendor quotes, and install replacement components
  • Coordinate and communicate with vendors and external contractors for equipment maintenance and installation projects
