About The Position
We are seeking a Hospital Maintenance Technician I I I , also referred to as a Plant Operations Technician III or Boiler Operator III. The Hospital Maintenance Tech III is responsible for advanced maintenance and repairs on hospital systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety equipment to ensure a safe and operational healthcare environment. This role also supports emergency response, preventive maintenance, and facility projects while coordinating with staff and contractors to minimize disruption to patient care.
Requirements
- Five (5) years experience in an acute healthcare setting preferred
- Able to troubleshoot, read schematics, and/or blue prints.
- Valid state driver’s license.
- Certified and/or licensed in a specified trade that is relative to healthcare engineering (Steam boiler, HVAC, etc)
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
Responsibilities
- Maintains accurate logs on all equipment in hospital and provides for a safe working environment.
- Maintains and repairs equipment including, but not limited to, mechanical, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, plant maintenance, and medical gas systems.
- Maintains the building and its related systems.
- Certified and/or licensed in a specific trade that is directly related to healthcare engineering.
