About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Plant Maintenance Technician to join our team, ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of our ready-mix concrete plants, precast equipment, and associated plant structures. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 2 to 4 years of experience with heavy process machinery (cement industry preferred)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of industrial mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, environmental, and safety regulations related to plant operations.
  • Skilled in troubleshooting complex plant equipment and systems.
  • Proficient in welding, fabrication, and precision alignment techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Basic computer skills are required.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Effective communication and coaching skills to work with individuals from all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid Driver’s License in state of residence.
  • Must be able to work varying work shifts with varying start and stop times.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain full compliance with all safety and environmental policies and procedures, ensuring both personal and team adherence.
  • Consistently use proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to uphold safety standards.
  • Address safety-related issues immediately with supervisors or plant managers to prevent incidents.
  • Complete all assigned safety training within required timeframes to stay current with safety protocols.
  • Perform routine, preventative, and corrective maintenance on wet batch and central batch ready-mix plants, precast equipment, and plant-related structures.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to minimize downtime.
  • Inspect plant machinery regularly, recommend, and perform necessary repairs to ensure optimal operation.
  • Install, repair, and maintain heavy industrial process equipment to support production needs.
  • Fabricate, weld, and modify parts to restore equipment to service.
  • Safely rig, lift, and handle heavy equipment during installations or repairs.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics.
  • Use precision measuring tools to dismantle, align, and reassemble machinery components.
  • Respond to urgent calls outside of normal business hours.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and document all work in logs.
  • Conduct regular walkthroughs with plant managers to provide ongoing maintenance training.
  • Coach plant managers on plant maintenance requirements.
